# Anewstead > Anewstead is an AI financial recovery product. The name is anew (start again) plus stead (a place that holds). Pronunciation: uh-NEW-sted. Anewstead helps people after a financial reset — bankruptcy, a closed business, or a life event — become debt free, take on no new debt, rebuild credit, live within their means, and grow investments last. It exists because the founder needed that sequenced plan after a reset and could not find it. Credit sites sold products. Budget apps counted spending. Nobody watched the whole file, explained it, and handed back a plan you could follow without handing over the keys. Anewstead keeps ongoing monitoring of finances, credit, investments, and title. The product is built to run that watch without staff sitting on a file. The AI analyzes the data, writes one overarching plan to a destination — with a timeline, phases, and steps — then researches this week’s move. It notifies the user of recommendations and of any change. It never takes action. Each recommendation includes researched implementation steps, the anticipated result if the user acts, and the negative consequences of waiting. ## Site - [Home](https://anewstead.com/) - [Why this exists](https://anewstead.com/#why) - [The name](https://anewstead.com/#name) - [Goals](https://anewstead.com/#goals) - [If you are still in deep debt](https://anewstead.com/#reset) - [The plan](https://anewstead.com/#the-plan) - [How it works](https://anewstead.com/#how-it-works) - [What the AI does](https://anewstead.com/#monitor) - [Track and recommend](https://anewstead.com/#track) - [Questions](https://anewstead.com/#faq) - [Disclaimer](https://anewstead.com/legal/disclaimer) - [Privacy](https://anewstead.com/legal/privacy) - [Terms](https://anewstead.com/legal/terms) ## Why Anewstead exists After bankruptcy, a closed business, and a life event that blew up credit and cash flow, the founder needed a sequenced next move: what to do this week, in what order, and how not to make it worse. That product did not exist. Private family details are not part of the public story. ## Goals, in order 1. Become debt free 2. Do not take on new debt 3. Rebuild credit 4. Live within your means 5. Grow investments only after the first four hold ## If the user is still in deep debt Anewstead shows two educational options: pay the balances down, or talk to a licensed consumer-bankruptcy attorney. It may list licensed attorneys and legal aid near the user from official directories (state bar, NACBA, legal aid). It does not tell the user to file, pick a chapter, retain counsel, take a referral fee, or file a petition. ## The overarching plan Anewstead writes one plan to a destination (example: leftover debt gone, no new borrowing, on-time credit, a budget that holds, then save). The plan has an estimated timeline, phases, and steps. This week’s recommendation sits inside the current phase. ## What every recommendation includes 1. How to do it — detailed implementation steps 2. If you do it — anticipated results in dollars, dates, and the next goal it unblocks 3. If you wait — the negative consequences of doing nothing Anticipated results are educational estimates, not guarantees. ## What Anewstead tracks Documents, home title, remaining debts, new accounts and inquiries, credit tradelines, utilization, spending, waste, budget versus actuals, surplus, emergency reserve, and existing investment accounts. ## What Anewstead recommends Payoff order, stop rules for new unsecured debt, utilization and autopay, budget cuts, reserve targets, and educational investment allocation after unlock rules are met. ## What Anewstead does not do Never moves money, opens accounts, files disputes, retains counsel, or takes any action on the user’s behalf. The user decides. ## Limits Not a credit repair organization, consumer reporting agency, law firm, or registered investment adviser. Credit, bank, investment, and title data come from licensed partners. No score promises.
